Secure Socket Layer (SSL v3.1) Support

Use FTPS or HTTPS with 128-bit SSL encryption for authentication and file transfer encryption. FTPS requires a secure FTP client such as CuteFTP while virtually every browser support HTTPS. HTTPS uploads are accomplished using a built-in form upload available to users based on folder permissions.

Secure Shell 2 (SSH2) Support
Transfer files using SFTP* (SSH2). Create an Identity file and/or require that clients provide their own Identity file for public-key authentication. *SFTP support requires the purchase of an add-on module.

FIPS 140-2 Validated Security Components

Secure FTP Server FIPS is a security enhanced version of Secure FTP Server that operates using FIP validated algorithms for FTP over SSL (FTPS) and HTTP over SSL (HTTPS). The FIPS version of Secure FTP Server supports operation with a FIPS 140-2 validated encryption library and is built according to FIPS Security Policy guidance specified by the encryption library.

FIPS only
To guarantee security, Secure FTP Server FIPS operates in always on mode. If there is a problem with maintaining a FIPS compliant operation, Secure FTP Server FIPS stops all traffic, ensuring that no data is transferred without the required security.

Protocol support
Secure FTP Server FIPS supports all the file transfer protocols currently supported by the standard version of Secure FTP Server. FTP/S and HTTP/S operate in FIPS only mode. FTP, HTTP and Secure Shell are not FIPS compliant, but still supported by Secure FTP Server FIPS. Secure FTP Server FIPS informs the administrator of the operational status of the server, including which protocols are enabled every time a site is started or restarted. If the specified setup procedures are followed, Secure FTP Server FIPS can be used exclusively as a FIPS compliant server, enabling only its FIPS compliant protocols: HTTP over SSL and/or FTP over SSL using the FIPS certified ciphers and hashes.

Full Digital Certificate Management System

Create, sign, import, export and add digital certificates to a trusted list. You can even have a trusted Certificate Authority such as Verisign or Thawte sign the certificates you create.

Quickly create your own self-signed digital certificates.

S/Key Password Encryption
Avoid password theft using advanced SKEY password protection, when using Secure FTP Server in conjunction with an SKEY enabled FTP client such as CuteFTP Pro.

Secure Remote Administration
Ensure secure remote administration from any computer. The Administrator Interface even provides the option of connecting to the FTP Server using an SSL connection.

Block Site-to-Site (S2S or FXP) Transfers
Block S2S transfers, avoiding a potential security risk also known as port theft or FTP by proxy.

Restrict Access by IP Address
Grant or deny access to the server based on IP address in a highly configurable manner.
